The Pyramid—that being the hierarchy of earthly powers, increases in corruption the higher it goes. This by no means makes those at the lower tiers more innocent. We are all responsible for our own actions or inactions and will be held accountable at the Judgment Seat. But throughout the vertical and horizontal framework or network of this earthly Pyramid, influence and enticements flow up and down and side to side—that is, they move within the Pyramid vertically and horizontally.
Circuses and Bread (Sports and Entitlement Programs)
Looking at the whole, we see a vast multitude scurrying about the world in a struggle, while an elite few bask in the leisure and luxury of overabundance. An ignorant herd stampedes at the base reverberating up through the Pyramid its discontent and malfeasance, while the most evil few at the apex interpret the vibrato and—as in Rome—answer back with measured lies and propaganda, “Give them their circuses and bread.” The strategic answer is delivered to appease and further influence the herd’s movement in the direction of the corral.
In the previous paragraph, take note of the phrase, “An ignorant herd stampedes at the base.” How many ‘top-tier’ politicians have you heard—when referring to their constituents, their political support by the populace—use the term, “the base.” The next time you look at a Pyramid, think of that powerful politician and consider what he is referring to when mentioning, “the base” and where you are and he/she is within this Pyramid.
We must be a stop gap for the flowing of evil throughout this Pyramid. We must stop this beastly reverberation travelling upward and—with discernment and courage—expose the lies and propaganda descending from the earthly powers. We must also stop the lateral movement of debauchery and virulence with obedience to God’s law and abide by His commandments. We must return to righteousness and truth and leave the spirit of Sodom and Gomorrah behind.
As Frederick Douglass so eloquently declared, “I have one great political idea…, the best expression of it I have found in the Bible. It is in substance, ’Righteousness exalteth a nation; sin is a reproach to any people.’”
If we do not return to a people who fear the LORD and become a God-fearing nation, we can expect nothing less than the wrath of God. The judgment of God on nations and people who have long continued to ignore and deny Him is always complete. God never does anything without a fullness, without a finality. He may extend His mercy even in His judgment, but the judgment is still complete. It is equal in degree, in measure, to the transgression. God will not be mocked. He will not allow us to continue flaunting our ignorance and contempt of His Holy presence. We will be judged according to the magnitude of our offenses. “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” – Gal. 6:7 KJV. We have cast off His yoke and we have sewn the wind. We shall reap the whirlwind. “For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind:” – Hosea 8:7 KJV.
