Both purgatory and pre-rapturism are 2nd chance for salvation, heresies. Just as the Roman Catholic church teaches purgatory is a place where an unsaved though not necessarily damned person will go to ‘suffer as a penitent’ for sins, so does the rapture teaching allow someone to be left behind and through great tribulation up to and including beheading, will escape damnation.

Many Evangelicals, believing the Lord will return secretly several years before the final apocalypse, think that if they miss “the first round draft” will, after “great tribulation and/or beheading” be found worthy of salvation. But what if there is no 2nd return? What if it is ‘as in the days of Noah?’ When the ark door closed, you were either in the ark and saved or out of the ark and lost. So many people who believe the pretrib rapture may be hedging their conversion on a “grace period” analogous to a ‘Purgatory.’

Who has really divided Israel? Was true Israel not reborn at the Reformation when millions upon millions of God-fearing souls began to understand the true Gospel of salvation having access to it themselves? Now having their own Bibles, they saw the Gospel of grace through Jesus Christ and not by works, donations, indulgences, and sacrifices to the “Holy” Roman Empire.
And along comes Ignatius of Loyola, the progenitor of the Society of Jesus, the infamous Jesuit priesthood who have declared war against the saints on behalf of the Vatican. And soon the Counter-Reformation is launched with what goal? Sorry for the yelling but .. TO DIVIDE ISRAEL! To break up the Reformation. To poison the pulpits, divide the doctrine, and separate the saints.
